History

1957
The company was founded in Wuppertal-Barmen by Hans-Josef Stang. Initially MAGEBA focused on the production of dyeing and finishing machines for narrow fabrics

1966
Relocation of the company to Bernkastel-Kues

1971
First visit of the international trade fair ITMA in Paris

1979
Entry of Hans-Peter Stang, son of the founder

1982
MAGEBA starts developing in the product range of weaving and small machines.

1984/1985 – building of a new production hall close to Werk I. In the 80’s the first CNC-controlled manufacturing machine produced by SHW was purchased.

1986
Additional purchase of a new building with a production hall in the direct neighborhood of the original building. Today this building is called Werk II and creates room for the office and administration departments, as well as for demonstration and presentation rooms and the installation of small and weaving machines.
In the following years the original growth of the company proceeded. More machine sectors have been included so that today MAGEBA has a vast product program ranging from warping, weaving, finishing and making-up.

1996
The first machines with SPS control were delivered, equipped with a modem for online support.

2001
Additional production hall was built, close to Werk I for spraying, welding, blasting and coating.

2003
Oliver Stang,
son of Hans-Peter Stang, joined the company and the general management.

New State of the art manufacturing machines have been acquired in order to optimize and improve the production process. By these CNC controlled machines the developments of the MAGEBA technical department are realized into practical solutions.

In support of an optimized capacity utilization of the new machinery MAGBEBA implemented the department “Lohnfertigung” in 2003 and offers manufacturing components/ metal parts for private people and companies.

2005
Anna-Katharina Stang
, Hans-Peter Stang’s daughter, joined the company.

Introduction of the first shuttle looms available for various applications. Their design is based on modern materials, drives and electrical components.

2007
MAGEBA
’s 50th anniversary was celebrated with business partners, customers and all MAGEBA friends at ITMA in Munich.

2014
Anna-Katharina Stang
became a member of the general management.
Oliver and Anna-Katharina Stang take over the operative management of the company. Hans-Peter Stang’s future focus is on sales and as a consultant to the new management.

2017
MAGEBA
’s 60th anniversary: Open house day on the 17th of June 2017.

MAGEBA  is a medium-sized family company in 3rd generation which, due to its lean structure, is able to respond flexibly and in a reasonable price-performance-ratio to market needs and customers’ expectations.
